He looks at me
So trustingly
With those liquid brown eyes.
Youd never know
That a few years ago
Peoples hearts were full of despise.
He was taken to the shelter
With a broken heart
Along with broken bones.
He had no fur
He had no soul
And he never had a home.
Eleven dogs
And many cats
Were rescued from such evil.
Just how can humans
Do these things
To one that gives love so freely?
A cruelty case
Prosecution followed
And justice won the day.
Hell give you his trust
But your love is a must
Until his days are over.
He just wants love
And care from me.
It will be an honour to provide.
