Impatiens plants have a strange ability to change sex. The impatiens flower is male when it first opens. After a few days the pollen cap is shed and reveals female organs. This process is to keep the plant from self-pollination. However, it doesn”t always work. Some species naturally set seed without even opening their flowers. Other species are self-sterile.

The model for addiction is changing. In the past, addiction simply referred to physical and psychological dependence on an addictive substance such as alcohol or drugs. Without physical dependence, there could not be a diagnosis of addiction. Further research has revealed that psychological dependence has much more to do with the equation than originally thought. Barcelona”s main gay area is called L”Eixample or Gayxample. Las Ramblas is the thoroughfare that everyone is fond of in Barcelona. The thoroughfare runs from the port, to the center of town, and stops just a few blocks short of the gay village. It is widely known the street performers of Barcelona, and it is favorite place of local pick pockets. The place comes to life after dark, and gay gentlemen come out to play. The city”s gay scene is stylish and vivacious, but the actual action begins after midnight. The bars get crowded after midnight, and the discos don”t entertain guests until 3am. So, most of the gay action begins after 3 am. Furthermore, the city has a number of gay friendly restaurants, bars, clubs & discos, saunas & gyms, hotels & B &Bs, and shopping places.
